ELL Students: Blog 1

I am really excited about how we get to interact with the ELL students, i consider it a very rewarding experience. They have shown me how to change the wording to phrases so it is better understood, a lot about their country I have never known about, and how language barrier is a prominent in our culture today. They reminded me of how thankful I should be for not having to switch countries, sometimes family, and that India has over 15 different languages that are spoken, I also learned that a lot of people left their family behind, and I didn't think of it that way. I'm curious to find out what their parents reasons for leaving their country, I clearly would not ask them this, but the thought still occasionally pops into my head. We have as much to learn as them as they do from us, and I am looking forward to next time!
p.s. if we are given a world map to fill out, don't expect me to complete it....
